Sep. 19th, 2018 03:25 pmName: Bo Dennis Door: Door Pass - Dominant Canon: Lost Girl Canon Point: End of Season 3 Age: 30-ish Appearance: Link History: Link Personality: Unlike the vast majority of the fae, Bo grew up among humans. Not only that, but she thought she was one of them, up until the time she turned 18, her abilities manifested, and she killed her boyfriend the night she lost her virginity. For many years afterward, she was on the run, not knowing what she was, and needing to kill another person each time she grew hungry enough to need to feed. While Bo has learned to enjoy being a succubus now that she is aware of her abilities and gained control, she’s also fiercely protective of humans, having spent nearly her entire life among them. Due to this, when the fae required her to choose between the light and the dark and become fully integrated into their world, she refused, instead choosing ‘humans.’ This leaves her unaligned, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage when it comes to functioning in the world of the fae. Fortunately, Bo is incredibly independent, only completely relying on herself, though she had grown to embrace a select group of people upon which she places her trust and asks for help. Her best friend Kenzi has become like a sister to her. She’s the person she knows she can rely on through thick and thin, and though sometimes Bo can be selfish and unaware of what’s going on in Kenzi’s life, when her friend truly needs her, Bo is always there in an instant. Generally, this happens when Kenzi is already in a life-or-death situation, but Bo has proven again and again that she’d give up her life to save her best friend. Dyson comes second in her line of friends as people she can trust. He was the first person she opened up to romantically in a very, very long time, and despite attempting to keep things casual, they both fell in love with one another. When Dyson gave up his love in order to give her strength in the fight against her insane mother and fellow Succubus, Bo only felt more for him, seeing that he’d given up the thing that was most important to him to save her. The knowledge that his love for her was more important to him than even his wolf was not lost on her. Though she’s aware that Dyson’s love for her has been returned, there is the complication of Lauren, the other romantic love in her life. Bo’s relationship with Lauren has been on and off over the course of the series, but she remains important to her. She cannot say that she isn’t or wasn’t in love with her, but the difficulty of being a succubus in a relationship with a human is grossly complicated on its own, and was compounded with the fact that Lauren has a duty to serve the Ash, the leader of the light fae. Add in the fact that she has not always been truthful with Bo during the time they’ve known one another and it’s something of a mess. Bo has also craved a true family since her own adoptive mother disowned her, and this need wasn’t helped in any way when her mother turned out to be violent and insane. However, finding out that Trick was her grandfather gave her that blood family that she’d been craving, in the form of a man that she’d already seen as a good friend and father-figure. Trick is intensely important to her, and she relies on him for advice and guidance. She leaned on him the most when she prepared for her Dawning, which he helped her pass by the skin of her teeth. Bo is an incredibly faithful, loving person with a fierce attitude and a dislike for authority. She doesn’t play by the rules, and prides herself on that fact. She refuses to watch injustice without acting to fix it, even though it consistently gets her into trouble and potentially fatal situations. She often resorts to violence to fix her work-related problem, as coming up with a more peaceful solution is not her strong point. However, Bo is so used to a life of action and adrenaline that she may even enjoy it, though she might not always admit it. Fortunately, she has a network of friends who support her, and she would literally do anything to help them and keep them safe. Powers and Abilities: Feeding: In addition to normal food, as a succubus, Bo has to feed off of sexual energy/life force/chi. She does this by sucking this energy out through the mouth of the victim. It is physically draining on the victim as well, as she’s directly tapping into their body’s energy, and taking too much will result in their death. Fae are much more capable of handling being fed off of, while humans are not. Bo has quite a bit of control over this ability, and knows when to stop, and she can even take just enough to knock the person unconscious. Bo can also reverse this process and give chi via the mouth, which was shown previously in order to save a person from dying, but more recently has been shown to revive someone from death even though they were not killed by a succubus. Feeding also has the extra bonus of vastly improving her reaction times and physical prowess, and allows her to heal from nearly any wound at incredible speed. In times of need, Bo has also been shown to feed off of an entire group of people at once without physical contact. Doing so requires her to access her ‘other side,’ which used to make her lose herself temporarily, though she has gained control of this since her Dawning. Auras: Bo can sense how much lust a person is feeling, as well as the general sexual energy in a room based on the auras around her. Enamor: By touching a person, Bo can incite their feelings of love and lust, essentially temporarily enthralling them and controlling their actions. With this ability, she can usually get a person to literally tell her anything she wants, which is helpful in interrogation. She can also get them to do almost anything, attack their friends, hand over the keys to their car, calm down, etc. This doesn’t always work, especially in other fae with a high willpower or similar abilities in the sexual side of things, but humans are almost always incredibly susceptible (though she wasn’t able to convince a homosexual security guard to fall for her). Blood Enthralling: Injecting or otherwise infecting someone with her blood makes them her thrall and essentially binds them to her will. They are unable to go against her wishes, and feel compelled to protect her with their life. This is reversible through a simple ritual. Longevity: Though not immortal, Bo will potentially live for thousands of years so long as she isn’t killed by unnatural means. Superior combat skills with both weapons and hand-to-hand. [OOC]
Backtagging: YES. This is how I survive, tbh.
Threadhopping: By all means, go for it, so long as it's not closed/private.
Fourthwalling: Ask first? I'm usually okay with this kind of thing.
Offensive subjects: I'm not offended by much of anything, especially if it's IC for your muse.
[IC]
Hugging this character: She'll hug back if you're a friend. If not, go for it, but prepared for side-eye.
Kissing this character: Yes, please. In fact, she'll need some kissing, or she'll starve, so...
Flirting with this character: Of course. She will happily flirt back if she likes you.
Fighting with this character: Of course, so long as you're okay with a boot in your face.
Injuring this character: Go for it. She can heal most wounds with sex anyway, though let me know it's coming and make sure it's believable. Nothing super severe without asking, please.
Killing this character: If death is permanent, no. If it's temporary, talk to me about it.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Sure! :D
PERMISSIONS FOR YOU
Warning: Bo is a very sexual creature by nature. She's a succubus, and requires sexual energy from others in order to live. If this makes you uncomfortable at any time, let me know and I can tone it down or you can opt out of playing with her entirely. I will not be personally offended, I promise.
ABILITIES
Enamour: Bo can use a kind of mind control via touch. She can incite lust in others, calm them down, and make them temporarily enamored with her. SHE WILL NOT EVER USE THIS TO COERCE ANYONE INTO SLEEPING WITH HER. She generally only uses it to gather information, to gain entry to places she isn't supposed to be, to keep people from using violence, etc. I realize this can still be triggering and not everyone likes mind control type things, so if you'd like me to refrain from ever using is on or around your character, let me know.
Feeding: Bo requires sexual chi to live. She does not need to have sex to get it, as she can simply get it from kissing someone, though if she's going to be healing from serious wounds or if she wants to feed less often, sex is her best option. Being fed on by Bo will be extremely draining on a human, though supernatural creatures are just tired afterward. If you would like Bo to someday feed on your character, let me know, as I will need people for this. If you would like to opt out, let me know that too.
Enthralling: If Bo's blood comes in contact with someone else's, she can enthrall them to her will. This is involuntary on her part, and it has happened accidentally in the past. The entralled victim will feel attached to her, may become obsessed or feel as if they're in love with her, and will want to protect her from danger. A simple ritual can fix this problem. I will never do this without serious plotting, though if you're interested, let me know and we can figure something out.

Until recently, she’s been on the run ever since, not knowing what she was, and accidentally killing another person each time she grew hungry enough to need to feed.
However, Bo is so used to a life of action and adrenaline that she may even enjoy it, though she might not always admit it. Fortunately, she has a network of friends who support her, and she would literally do anything to help them and keep them safe.
Why would your character be chosen? In Bo’s world, her very existence is the definition of standing out. She is stronger than most Fae and has a undeniable amount of sex appeal. People almost always either lover her or hate her, but she inspires emotion in everyone she meets, whether good or bad.
How much does your character know about nonhumans? Bo is very familiar with supernatural species, being part of a community that is full of them. Her grandfather’s secret identity is one of the old past leaders of the Fae, and so Bo has access to a huge amount of artifacts and books detailing different species of supernatural creatures. Given her profession (she’s a Fae private investigator of sorts), no doubt she’s been doing a lot of research since gaining access to his information.
Why this character: I’ve been playing Bo for a while now. She an incredibly strong and independent character, with a voice that demands to be heard, and I find her compelling to play. Her ability to be social and make friends, all while shoving her nose into anything and everything makes her fun in game settings, especially ones with metaplot. She has the ability to gain a lot of different kinds of CR as well, making her very playable.

Alright, Wanderer. I’m seriously getting sick of your shit.
I don’t have time for these games you apparently want to play right now. There are things going on that I need to deal with and people I need to find, and sending me wherever the hell this is is only going to make me mad, which means bad things for you.
Am I supposed to be impressed? All this looks like to me is hiding, since you don’t even have the balls to show yourself. I’m right here just waiting! You want me so bad, then come and get me, don’t just drop me off in Atlantis or wherever the hell this is.

Although dropping me off all the way in Manhattan was a nice trick. Teleportation, maybe? It wouldn’t be the first time, though at least then I agreed to it.

Character's Full Name: Bo Dennis (adopted name. at her canon point, she doesn't know her full/real name)
Canon Lost Girl
PB/Actor: Anna Silk
Character's Starting Level: 6
Character Age: 30ish
Physical Description:
Bo is a very attractive woman with long dark hair and dark eyes. She has a very seductive body, with curves in all the right places, and stands about 5’5” (though she’s always wearing heels). She is always made up, with thick black eyeliner. Her dress goes along with her succubus persona, wearing heeled boots, lots of leather, and skin tight clothes, though she occasionally opts for a blouse with a cinching belt at times.
Character's Species/Race: Fae/Succubus
Character History (Pre-Veil): Wikia Link
Post Veil History:
Bo came through the veil to find herself in Toronto, Canada, in the middle of winter, to only a week’s worth of memories and a whole lot of confusion.
She used to charms to survive for awhile, considering she didn’t exactly have a ton of cash on hand. Her succubus abilities made it easy enough to find places to stay, and warm beds to sleep in, though this resulted in one or two deaths over the course of a few months due to her need to feed, and being without the help of Lauren or the Ash to teach her to control herself.
The Knights eventually tracked her down after her second kill. Bo was good at avoiding the regular police, given that she wasn’t even supposed to exist here, but they were better. Once they realized she was shadowkind and didn’t want to hurt people, they gave her a break, and offered her a job.
Bo worked with the knights for a long time, while refusing to actually join their organization. She didn’t trust them, thinking they’d be similar to her experience with the Light and Dark factions of fae back home, but found them to be quite the opposite. Working with them proved that their leader valued independence, and stood up for the guys who couldn’t stand up for themselves. While they wanted to keep themselves afloat, they didn’t do it at the loss of others, and after a great long while, Bo joined up with them.
She still freelances, doing odd jobs for the Knights, but she enjoys her position as one of them. And given the people she’s around, they’ve done well to help her gain control of herself and help keep her from hurting anyone else.
Chosen Canon Point: Season 1, between episodes 1 and 2

Her best friend Kenzi has become like a sister to her. However, Bo is so used to a life of action and adrenaline that she may even enjoy it, though she might not always admit it. Fortunately, she has a network of friends who support her, and she would literally do anything to help them and keep them safe.
Memories Retained or Lost:
Bo only remembers the last week or so of her life, which is pretty clear. She knows she was working as a bartender, that she killed that guy in the bar who tried to creep on Kenzi, that she was briefly on the run from the cops, only to find out what she was from Dyson and the Ash, decided to become an unaligned Fae, and moved in with Kenzi.
Powers and Abilities:
Feeding: In addition to normal food, as a succubus, Bo has to feed off of sexual energy/life force/chi. She does this by sucking this energy out through the mouth of the victim. Fae are much more capable of handling being fed off of, while humans are not. This is what it looks like when Bo is feeding: http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4132/5114438992_f7cdae9107_z.jpg
Bo can also reverse this process and give chi via the mouth, previously in order to save a person from dying, but more recently has been shown to revive someone from death not killed by a succubus.
Auras: Bo can sense how much lust a person is feeling, as well as the general sexual energy in a room based on the auras around them.
Inciting lust: By touching a person, Bo can incite their feelings of love and lust, essentially temporarily enthralling them and controlling their actions. With this ability, she can usually get a person to literally tell her anything she wants, which is helpful in interrogation. She can also get them to do almost anything, attack their friends, hand over the keys to their car, etc. This doesn’t always work, especially in other fae with a high willpower or similar abilities in the sexual side of things, but humans are almost always incredibly susceptible (though she wasn’t able to convince a homosexual security guard to fall for her).
Blood Enthralling: Injecting someone with her blood makes them her thrall, and essentially binds them to her will. They are unable to go against her wishes, and feel compelled to protect her with their life. This is reversible through a simple ritual.
Note: These are abilities she’s shown to possess through all three seasons of the show. There are likely more, but the only ones she’s currently capable of are Feeding and Inciting Lust/Minor Enthralling/Succubus hand whammy. She can feed on a supernatural without killing them, but her ability to control her hunger with humans is still nearly impossible. Sensing sexual aura is something she’s realizing isn’t just part of her imagination.

Kawakami Bansai had not experienced a battle worth his attention in a long while. It seemed like it had been ages since he’d had the opportunity to enjoy the steadily increasing tempo of an epic fight, to get wrapped up in the notes that sprang from each clash of metal upon metal, jumping octaves along with the bright sparks. To be completely immersed in the sway of another’s sound. The last time it had happened, he had made the decision to follow that person into hell with little more than a second thought. This time, though, it had been almost dizzying. Overwhelming.
That had been what it was like to fight Sakata Gintoki. No, to fight Shiroyasha.
His music had been brilliant, as bright as the unusual color of his hair, and yet it had been maddening because he hadn’t been able to follow it. It was unruly and unkempt, changing and shifting with each passing measure, and it had taken all of his skill to keep the man from instantly defeating him with each of the swings of his wooden sword. That one encounter would most surely inspire many of the songs he would write in the coming months, perhaps even longer. Bansai hadn’t enjoyed a fight like that since…
Well, since he’d met Shinsuke, who sat on the opposite side of the room he now inhabited, years before. Though to most people, the room would have simply been filled with silence other than the gentle tones emanating from the shamisen in each of the men’s hands, Bansai heard an entire chorus; this tune was deeper and darker than the man who had eventually defeated him, but it enthralled him all the same. Even moreso, as it always had, and it came from the only other person in the room.
He knew what the man was going to ask for before he even opened his mouth. Shinsuke would want answers, and as a man of his word, Bansai would answer them truthfully. Though he had been defeated, the main task he’d been set to accomplish, to distract the government’s military, had been successful. It was the side mission, the one that would have been most difficult, that did not happen, and he easily shrugged off Shinsuke’s comment about being weak. They both knew that wasn’t the case, it was simply a way of expressing mild disappointment.
And the musician himself couldn’t possibly be disappointed. Even with the peak of the piece being that fight with his master’s old comrade, there were other shining examples of sounds he always craved to hear among the Shinsengumi as well. Sounds that he wanted to hear again someday, to see what other tunes they could make together. It reminded him of Shinsuke’s own organization, only the music had an entirely different feel, and although he didn’t believe he could, or would ever want, to harmonize with them, it was most certainly intriguing to hear.
It was the first time he hadn’t been upset about losing, if only so he could experience it again in the future.

Why do you think this character would join/work with the Knights?
Bo is all about fighting for the underdog and trying to do what’s right. The Knights will have the same values as her, which is what will draw her to them. However, she doesn’t like to play by the rules, and she has issues with authority figures, which might cause some conflict between her and anyone trying to act as her overbearing superior.
Do you have a preference for which NPC brought in your character?
Nope!

Energy Drain (Su): A succubus drains energy from a mortal it lures into some act of passion, or by simply planting a kiss on the victim. If the target is not willing to be kissed, the succubus must start a grapple, which provokes an attack of opportunity. The succubus’s kiss or embrace bestows one negative level.
The kiss also has the effect of a suggestion (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Suggestion) spell, asking the victim to accept another kiss from the succubus. The victim must succeed on a DC 24 (25) Will save to negate the effect of the suggestion . The DC is 24 (25) for the Fortitude save to remove a negative level. These save DCs are Charisma based.
